A calm, personal service

Assessment comes first.

Every lesion is assessed before treatment. If a lesion is not suitable for cosmetic removal, treatment will not go ahead and you will be advised about the appropriate next step.

Your consultation

Clear advice. Time to decide.

A £20 consultation with dermoscopy

  1. 01

    Assessment & dermoscopy

We discuss your concerns and medical history, examine your lesion and use dermoscopy to look more closely.

  2. 02

    Your options, explained

We discuss suitable treatments, healing, risks and costs, including the option of no treatment.

  3. 03

    An agreed treatment plan

Together, we agree a suitable approach and confirm your price.

  4. 04

    Consent before treatment

When you feel informed and ready, we confirm your decision and ask you to sign the consent form.

Consultation and treatment can take place in the same appointment where suitable and agreed, once you feel fully informed and have given consent.

If you prefer more time, a four-week cooling-off period is available.

No pressure. No obligation to proceed.

Your treatment, explained

What happens during treatment?

Understand your options, how they work and what healing may involve. Gemma recommends a suitable method after assessing your lesion and medical history.

01 · Controlled freezing

Cryotherapy

What it is & how it works

A targeted freezing treatment that destroys the treated tissue, allowing it to shed as the skin repairs. The application is brief and can sting or feel hot. Some lesions, particularly warts, need repeat sessions.

Healing

Soreness, swelling or a blister can develop, followed by a crust. This usually settles over a few weeks; lower legs can take longer. Let the crust come away naturally and follow your aftercare instructions.

02 · Careful removal

Curettage

What it is & how it works

After numbing the area with local anaesthetic, a small spoon-shaped instrument called a curette is used to scrape away a suitable surface lesion. Cautery may then be used to control bleeding.

Healing

The area looks like a graze and heals as new skin grows across it. Small wounds often heal in around 1–3 weeks, but larger or deeper wounds and those on the lower legs may take longer.

03 · Minor surgery

Shave excision

What it is & how it works

Local anaesthetic numbs the area before a surgical blade removes a suitable raised lesion at or close to the skin surface. Cautery may be used to stop bleeding. A shave wound usually heals without stitches.

Healing

A shallow, graze-like wound remains and gradually fills with new skin. Small wounds often close in around 1–3 weeks; healing varies with depth, size and location. A pink mark can remain while the skin matures.

04 · Support while you heal

Wound care & follow-up

Your aftercare plan

You receive instructions for cleaning, dressings and caring for your treated area. Follow the plan given for your procedure and avoid picking any crust or scab. Follow-up is arranged according to your treatment and healing needs.

When to get advice

Seek prompt medical advice for increasing pain, spreading redness or warmth, pus, or feeling unwell. Bleeding that does not stop with firm, continuous pressure needs urgent medical advice.

Healing is individual.

Scarring, lighter or darker skin marks and recurrence are possible. Your likely recovery, risks and any need for laboratory testing will be discussed before treatment.

I went to Gemma with a mole on my chin which had bothered me for years. From the moment I messaged her, she put me at ease. I had my consultation and she talked me through everything she was doing. I must admit I was scared, but I had no reason to be. I never felt anything, and the results say it all—you wouldn’t even know I had had a mole there. Thank you, Gemma x

Went for a consultation to get quite a few lesions checked, as I’m very moley, and had a few skin tags on my neck which needed removing. In and out within 15 minutes—six removed and healing nicely. Gemma is very professional and takes time to talk you through your results and advise what needs to be done.
